Juniors training and racing

Why we train with the Junior section...

Whether competing in cross country, or on the track - mastering the javelin or attempting the high jump - our young athletes - aged from 8-17 - have the chance to discover running and all that if offers in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Supported by qualified and enthusiastic coaches, this is running for young people as it's meant to be.

Our annual intakes

Twice a year, we welcome new juniors into the Club.

As athletics has become more and more popular, so the capacity of grassroots athletics clubs has filled. As with most athletics clubs, we run a waiting list for the junior section. We carry out two intakes a year on a strictly first come first served basis, filling by age category.

If you have a junior aged between 8-17 who is interested in joining, please fill in the form below after which your junior be added to the waiting list for their age category. If you are over 18 then please refer to the Seniors pages for training information or the Membership page to join.

After registering you will receive an email two weeks before your trial date with further information.

Get set for the Wessex League 2026

Every summer our young athletes have the chance to compete in the Wessex League, a multi-discipline track and field competition between clubs from across the Southern counties. With QuadKids events for our younger athletes and a full suite of track and field events for older age groups, it's a brilliant competition and a great opportunity for our athletes.
