Volunteers and volunteering
Why become a volunteer?
Everyone involved in running our club is a volunteer, from those coaching our juniors, to those serving up tea and hotdogs at our events. It's a passion, rather than a job, and without our volunteers, the club simply would not exist. Why not join us and become part of something special?

How you can get involved
Many of our volunteers are runners - some still run and compete with us, while others who ran in the past now just want to give something back. Many are also parents of our junior athletes who are keen to help, knowing that the Club is giving their children the chance to enjoy running and build confidence. And plenty of volunteers don’t run at all - they just want to help out at community events and be a part of something special.

Want to get involved? Come along, have a go, and if you enjoy it, we’ll help you to get more involved with the right training and support.
Junior coaching
The junior side of the club is dependent upon a mixture of qualified coaches and parent helpers. Could you help coach the next generation of athletes? It can be extremely rewarding.

Courses are available through England Athletics (our Governing Body) for which the Club will pay fees. In return we ask that you help train once a week or so. If you would like to attend any of the courses, or possibly a future course, then please get in touch through the contact form on our Contact Us page HERE.

Alternatively, you can apply through Volunteer North Hampshire HERE.

Come and have a chat, ask questions and find out more. You will be supported by a great team around you.
