Representation for F&CAC at SEAA Heptathlon

Louis B completed his first heptathlon at the South of England Combined Events Championships held at Lee Valley on 13-14 December.

The event included 60metres, long-jump, shot put, high-jump, 60metre hurdles, pole vault and 1000 metres.

There were lots of firsts for Louis to overcome – first 60m, first shot put, first 60m hurdles at a new (scary!) height of 99.1cm, first pole vault comp and first 1k. It was also his first time competing at U20 age group. Due to age group changes he’ll move to U18s in April.

This experience was just about learning and seeing how it felt to put together two days of competition. Whilst some events didn’t go to plan, he has lots of positives to take from the experience and showed great resilience to keep going and push on.
