Huge turnout at Alice Holt XC

There was an incredible turnout at the Southern Cross Country League race at Alice Holt Forest last weekend, with 36 runners taking to the muddy trails around the Forestry Commission land, coming home in joint first place alongside Haslemere Border AC.

In bright sunshine, the giant Fleet and Crookham Team also saw some fantastic personal results, with Caitlin Millar topping the table and claiming first spot in the ladies race, while Alex Thompson, Aaron Webb, Ewan Heaney and Richard Williams all finished within the top ten for the men.

With other club runners helping to push those from other clubs down the field, the final result was a well-deserved joint first for the Club.

Well done everyone, and special mention too to baker-of-the-day, Matt H, for the post-race millionaires shortbread!
